Camille in Montgomery Day 3

Just when they were getting their bearings.....the last day is here. A morning on the hill, more exciting messages to deliver and long hours on the Senate floor.

Camille reported that her ears perked up when she heard $10,000 for each school for supplies only to be followed by 13 yes votes, 13 no votes, and no Lt. Governor on the floor to be the tie-breaker! Finally, when the argument between Senators over whether or not to recess until 2pm for lunch was raging, Maddie Thompson(junior senator from Baldwin County) jumped out of her seat and voted a resounding "YES!" Obviously, this brought down the house. Camille reported that Senator Pitman almost fell out of his chair laughing! And on the way out Senator Orr told Camille that he didn't really like the rally for higher education but they always had good barbeque!

A great end to a great couple of days.
